Nasa Selects Companies For Next-Generation Space Communications
New satellite relay awards could eventually total more than $1 billion across three companies.
NASA has awarded satellite communications development contracts to Viasat, SES and Astranis. The agreements could reach a combined maximum value of about $1.07 billion, subject to options and future work. The technology is intended to help replace older relay systems.
