OIL SLIDES BELOW $100 AS MARKETS REASSESS IRAN WAR RISKS

Crude prices dropped sharply as investors weighed election results and the possibility of a diplomatic shift over Iran.

Reuters reported that Brent crude fell below $100 per barrel as global markets responded to the U.S. election and changing expectations around the Iran conflict.

Lower crude prices could eventually ease fuel and transportation costs, but pump prices also reflect refining, distribution and local conditions. The conflict continues to create uncertainty about supply.

Texas producers, oilfield contractors and consumers have different exposures to a sustained price decline. Short-term market moves are not a forecast of future gasoline prices.
