TALARICO SENATE VICTORY RESETS TEXAS VOICE IN WASHINGTON

James Talarico won the U.S. Senate contest, helping reshape the Senate map and Texas representation in Washington.

Democrat James Talarico defeated Republican Ken Paxton in the Texas U.S. Senate race, according to election reporting cited by Reuters.

The result contributes to a broader national Senate realignment. The new senator will join a chamber where Democrats are projected to hold the majority.

Key questions include how the new delegation approaches energy, federal spending, border enforcement and the ongoing conflict involving Iran.
