Police in England have released an artist’s impression of a suspect after a woman in her 20s was allegedly attacked while running near Eton College. The appeal, reported November 8, concerns an incident that occurred on October 28.
According to The Sun’s account of the police statement, the woman was allegedly struck on the head and held in a headlock beneath a railway bridge on Eton Wick Road at approximately 11:30 a.m. She sustained minor injuries.
Investigators described the suspect as a man in his early 20s, around five feet seven inches tall, with short brown hair. Police said he was wearing baggy blue shorts and no shirt at the time.
The release of an e-fit is an appeal for information, not proof that any particular person committed the offense. Police asked people with relevant information to contact them, quoting reference 43260448686.
The case underscores the importance of witness accounts in investigations where a suspect has fled. Anyone who recognizes the description should contact police rather than make accusations on social media.
